Five different varieties of hops help to build a citrusy and floral flavor and aroma. A strong malt backbone is added to deliver a well-rounded and balanced taste.

More citrus than a west coast beer. But still best brew here. Light but solid hop bite. And good beer. Tropical nose and flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, poured into a tulip/snifter. The aroma is a strong spruce and floral note with a light bread crust, light lemon, some grapefruit that comes on late, and a touch of honey underneath it all. Itís a somewhat hazy yellow brown with a soapy white head that retains a medium ring, a small filmy island, and a messy dense lace. The taste is a medium high bitter with a medium sweet undertone. Itís oily and slick with lots of fuzzy carbonation. The medium body is waxy with a herb character. Flavors of lemon and bread crust follow up with a finish thatís caramel, grassy, and spruce with a light citrus zest. The aftertaste is astringent and somewhat cloying with a waxy grapefruit and light bread character.

Draft: pours a nice orange color with a tan head, aromas are wonderful... A mix of flowers, and citrus that is backed by a solid malt flavor... Bready and toasty... Solid, balanced beer. Very good.

From the tap. Pours a clear darker yellow with a white head. Aroma of faint pine and toasted malt. Dry, bitter finish, with not too much flavor on the palate. Average IPA.

Not to say I was surprised, but this was much better than I would have anticipated. A very solid and balanced IPA! On draft @ fifty west.
