It’s just like drinking coffee/espresso. I like coffee, so I could drink this one all day with no problem, but it doesn’t really feel like a beer.

Draft: exactly what you’d expect... A nice stout with some wonderful coffee flavors. Roasty and smooth, it’s wonderful, but nothing to get excited about.

I believe my first try from Fifty West Brewing. A very creamy and smooth experience--slightly herbaceous, but pleasant. Good first impression. On tap @ Dewey’s Pizza.

@ 50 West / Cincinnati --- Opaque black-brown, tan head that sinks to the rim, thin streaks of lace. Taste is toasted malt with just enough black coffee to justify the name; However, on the swallow, it is nothing but pure, rich tasting stout. This one is a cut above, an exceptional example of the style. Highly recommended.

Sample at the brewpub. Brownish-black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of roast coffee, sweet malt and dark chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lingering black coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
