1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
I am writing this because it looks like all the other reviews were from the brewpub and my sample was at Jackie oís and I had a completely different experience. I ordered this beer and the bartender, who knows me, gives me a tasting glass, I look at him perplexed, sniff and taste the beer..... nothing....I would not even of put this in the pale ale range of style with no hop aroma or taste, no bitterness, and no viscosity. He then told me they had a hefe by this brewery that tasted like water next door.
I thanked him for not selling me this beer and ordered a different beer.
I will try again if I see it at another place but in the mean time I have to question all aspects of this beer once it was put into the keg.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler shared on the RBWG tour bus by Max and the other cool ass Fifty West bros. Poured slightly hazy orangey/gold with a foamy white head. Aroma was dank, in a good hoppy dank way. Notes of rotting citrus, yellow grapefruit, apricot and mango, grains. Palate is spot on, medium to fuller bodied with a lingering bitterness along with a touch of heat from the big ABV medium carbonation and a sticky feel overall. Flavor is the same as the aroma with dank fruitiness but the grains become a bit more prominent. Notes of dry toast and some grain chaff. Honestly rated it this high before I even realized that the guys that brought this growler work at the brewery.

Draft at brew pub hazy light gold. Nose pine tropical fruit, some sweetness. Taste nice citrus bite up front, followed by strong mid palate sweetness. Some resinous hop then bitter finish. Nice syrupy mouth feel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler shared on the early morning bus during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Good nose, big on the citrus pith. Light to medium sweet flavor with heavy, dry minerals, gritty citrus rind, dry pale malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish with slight sticky pine, minerals and pithy orange. A touch too dry and bitter but otherwise good.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Redlem and I mustíve had the same experience. This stuff was not an IPA. In fact, it looked and tasted so much like Blue Moon that I asked the server to check the keg. I was at a place about two miles from the brewery. Iím not sure whatís happening in the process but the other reviews noted here have no resemblance to the product that I had.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Snifter on tap at the brewpub. ABV labeled 8.5%. Very nice pine aroma. Zesty orange hop. Grapefruit. Great big hop aroma. Literally a hop punch with every sip. Bitter taste, nice zest. Clear amber orange color. Little white head on the surface.. Loose lace, but a good amount sticks. Nice light but balanced malt bready factor in the background. Medium to bigger body. Lighter, crisp, smooth carbonation. Good moderately dry texture overall. Great long high-quality hoppy aftertaste. Super-good stuff. $10 for a growler fill is just crazy town. I can easily see myself driving out here in the future just for refills (I rarely do casual growlers). Love it.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2013 Draft to snifter at Fifty West. Looks good; a semi-transparent orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells good too; nice citrus hops. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. This beer is excellent!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft sample. Pours a rich golden color with a small eggshell white head. Notes of sweet and caramel malts, tropical fruit juice (melon, peach, mango), pine resin, and faint herbs. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, juicy, malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really nice double IPA. 10% ABV is absolutely nowhere to be found. Dangerous. I could drink a big glass of this really fast.
