Housemade grapefruit soda mixed with Robinsonís Circus: Sweet and refreshing!

Draft at Fifty West from notes. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a mix of pale wheat malts and tangy grapefruit juice, light bodied, these are just not for me, I would rather have the base beer or the juice by itself.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a semi-hazy gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has spice and banana esters. Tastes bready and sweet overall.

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. This rating is from notes; didnít enter, as I wasnít sure if it should exist here. I think it fits guidelines, though. Anyway, it pours a hazy pale gold with no head. It smells and tastes exactly like Juicyfruit gum. Exactly. You can pull out individiual sweet and grapefruit and sugar and wheat notes, but it comes together like Juicyfruit. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a smooth, sweet mouthfeel. Weird, but it accomplishes what it sets out to do.

Half-pint on tap at the brewpub. As far as Iím aware, this is just Fifty Westís Robinsonís Circus mixed 50/50 with house-made grapefruit soda. Iíve tried the house-made soda on itís own previously, itís delicious. This has a hazy pale yellow color, thin off-white head. Light to medium body. Lighter carbonation. Smooth texture, more dry. I love the lightly tart, sugary sweet grapefruit taste. Nice grapefruit aroma, some banana. Tasty radler.

Draft to taster (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks decent; a slightly hazy light gold with white lacing. Smells sweet and doughy with a notable hefe yeast presence. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as good. A bit of the grapefruit soda in the taste too. Solid on the palate. Alright, but a little light for my preference.

Tap. Poured hazy yellow color with an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate citrus wheat aroma. Light to medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet citrus spice wheat flavor with medium sweet finish of short duration. Not my style but good for style.
