COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our most approachable beer. The low hopping rate and clean yeast should accentuate the malty flavors expected in a Kolsch-style German ale.

Sample on tap. Mildly hazy light pale yellow color. Little white head. Decent lace. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Lighter body. Smooth and easy drinking. Good light grassy hops, light peppery. Light hints of lemon citrus. Good light bitter, light sweet, some savory taste. Great refreshing kolsch. Awesome "speed bump" amidst all the heavy winter ales and imperials available this time of year - it’s been a while since I had a new good kolsch

Draft in a taster at the brewpub. Labeled "Speedbump Kolsch." Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Notes of grass, pale malts, crackers, bread, and straw. Flavor and aroma are basically the same. Light-bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Nice, up-the-middle Kolsch. To style. Sessionable and refreshing.

Draft to taster at Fifty West. Looks solid; a mostly transparent gold with white lacing. Smells slightly sweet and doughy. Tastes doughy and a little bitter. Average on the palate. Solid for the style.

Draft. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is floral and grassy with lightly toasted pale malts. The flavor has floral and grassy hops, lightly toasted pale malts, light earthy bitterness. This was pretty drinkable for what they were calling a light beer.

Draft. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer but good for style.
