Bottle thanks to maximum12. Thanks man! Pour is a clear light black with a spare mocha head and very little lacing. Aroma is wood, chocolate, nice boozy BA notes. Taste is a dusting of bitter coco powder, moving to boozy wood notes, lots of slightly sweet dark fruit, and finishing with some slightly sweet chocolate syrup. Great, great beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has roast, figs, dates, chocolate and oakiness. It has a full body with some light sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with dark chocolate, syrupiness, roasty malt and licorice. The finish shows the rye barrel, dark caramel and earthy hops. Good imperial stout.

22 oz. bottle thanks to Adam Jackson. 2012 vintage, green wax, Batch "BR 1" Aroma is caramel send sugar, vanilla from bourbon, and thick molasses.
Flavor is pretty damn nice. Body has a nice brownie batter consistency. Flavor is coconut muff, vanilla, oak and a touch of rye. The rye is very subtle but in the flavor for sure. No oxidation found here and really has aged with no problems whatsoever. Really damn tasty.

#3600. Thanks to Jeremy! Tasting glass form 651 ml. bottle. 2010 Vintage. Bottle nr. 685. Black, only thin beige line on the side for head. Smells lightly oxidized, sweet bourbon, charcoal, chocolate. Bit thin for the style, slightly oxidized, sweet bourbon, caramel, sweet bourbon light faint roast, chocolate. Nothing wrong with this but it is a bit simple and nothing crazily impressive & these bottles are crazily expensive. They look coal but they aren’t really worth the cost.

2010 spicy rye, chocolate, cherry, light cardboard/oxidation, dry espresso, honey. Honey lends this beer a really velvety texture however this one has thinned out a bit too much for my taste. I think I’d prefer 2-3 years of age.

Had a few days ago, rating from notes. 2011 bottle. Dark pour, thin dark khaki head that disappears. Nose of whiskey, chocolate, burnt caramel, toffee. Full body but totally slick and creamy.

April 11, 2014 - bottle shared by me. Black pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was roasted malt, chocolate and bourbon. Taste was a nice blend of chocolate sweetness with some bourbon heat. Sweetness upfront and then the bourbon comes in at the end. One of the better Eclipse variants.

Bomber shared at Folty’s. Very dark inky brown pour with a spotty head. Awesome aroma and taste of bourbon and wood. I’m picking up a hint of red wine as well. Slightly dry on the finish.
