4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Marco - thanks! Black pour with a small tan head that hangs in there. Aroma is light, sweet bourbon with vanilla, oak, and underlying chocolate with some alcohol spice into the finish. Taste is sweet bourbon up front with vanilla and a somewhat hot alcohol note followed by molasses, chocolate roast, and some nice darker fruit notes that contrast with the spice from the alcohol. Mouthfeel is even and coating. This presents as a bit rougher and hotter than the elijah 18 I had but I like it and perhaps a bit more as I seem to get more of the base beer. Good beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2011 vintage. Bottle number 2245. Pours an inky black with some creamy, tan head. Nose is very mild, cherry, molassess, malt, licorice, vanilla, caramel, some rum. All the aromas are well blended. Flavor is solid, lightly sweet, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, bread crust, vanilla, rum, cake, cola. Super smooth finish. Just a touch sweet on the end. Really nice. Come a long way in the bottle.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at the casa. Nose is bourbon, chocolate, fresh oak, and caramel. Flavor is pretty spot on with nicely balanced bourbon and vanilla characteristics, amongst the oak and chocolate notes. Pours like all the other eclipse variants. Very nice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at 4 Hands. Black. Minimal tan head. An oaked vanilla woody aroma. It also has a softer side to the nose. First sip is of beans and huge malts. The wood is nice but not really smooth. Interesting and fungusy. Big chocolate malts. The bourbon is under all of that. I like it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing 2010 vintage bottle #605 and 2011 vintage bottle #1158. Pitch black pour with a thick tan head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is oaky with vanilla, malt and chocolate notes. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit and chocolate malt. The finish is boozy with a bourbon-infused chocolate aftertaste. Good beer overall.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
2011 Pours a nice dark color with a light tan fizzy head. Aroma is heavily bourbon with a nice roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla tones as well. Flavor is chocolate, bourbon, fruity, alcohol, roasted malt and wood. The finish is bitter alcoholic and doesn’t last too long. Mouthfeel smooth and carbonation is below average. This is an awesome beer.
