Bomber, huge thanks to beddachedda for this amazing tick. Next year, me arse will be at Eclipse Day, mark my words. Phenomenal aroma of all kinds of iced and -bald amazingness. Huge chocolate, coffee, roast, sweet toffee, amazing whiskey, dark fruit, and oak. The flavor is great too. Very sweet, but stops just short of being too much so. Smooth balanced malt base of caramel, toffee, candied dates, chocolate, oak, and Elijah. Damn this is good. Fairly full-bodied and very slick on the mouthfeel with lower carbonation. Crazy, crazy good beer. One of the best Eclipses - and beers - I’ve ever ticked.

Woodshed 2.0. Bomber (bottle #38) share courtesy of BOLTZ7555. It pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin mocha head of foam. The aroma is full of molasses as well as lesser amounts of burnt malts, chocolate and then booze. Nice. The taste is smooth and silky and nectar like as it runs head long into molasses, rich sweetened coffee, chocolate and sticky sludgy malts. Damn, great sipper.

Bottle shared at Woodshop 7. Deathly black with a dark-tan head. Strong and sweet with plenty of chocolate and a blatant honey note in the middle. Finish is actually rather dry and bitter.

Bottle acquired via an extremely generous trader and shared @ Woodshed 2.0! Midnight pour, onyx really, with a creamy latte head. Bonus points for staining the glass! Brownie batter, chocolate fudge, mocha, dark roasted coffee, and vanilla. Slight bourbon and oak notes as well. Coating and delicious!

Diego, you are the effin man my friend! Black pour, tan head. Aroma of fudge, light bourbon, roast, some ash and good chocolate notes. Flavor is sweet and rich with the bourbon notes taking a background to the roast, cocoa, light coffee. Alcohol not even noticeable at all to speak of.

Sample from a 22oz bottle with sky blue wax, shared by b3shine. Bottle #20. Dark brown color, translucent in my glass. Little brown head, some small dots of lace. Oak nose. Big vanilla flavor; honey. Awesome woody malty vanilla / honey nose. Big sweet and bitter taste. Big body, but not viscous. Light carbonation. Huge awesome aftertaste, wood, chocolate, roasty flavor that is enjoyable very long after each sip. Awesome one to savor. Really good, super-interesting beer

Bottle acquired from Tashbrew. Thanks, Todd. Pours a richly dark and depp colored blackish hue. Some brownish glowing edges and bottom with frothy tannish head. Laces lightly and sticks around. Aromas are gentle dry hops, a touch bitter with mellow spirit and smooth vanilla. Creamy sweet malts with toffee, cocoa, and coffee. Touches of spirit and hops meld into the fold. Initial is medium bodied, a touch heavier with good cocoa and roast, toffee and gentle spirit. Some vanilla, more coffee, firm dry floral and earthy hop bitterness. Grows and bitter into the backend and finish. Middle shows firm cocoa and roast, toffee and mellow. Gentle spirit, oak is more flavorful, vanilla and smoothed out with a richer dry cocoa and hop play. Heat is well hidden. Dry and a touch barrel given. Some gentle heat, firm hops. Tasty beer. Probably one of the better Imperial Eclipse variants. Fair hopping. Great.

22oz bottle, courtesy of our friends at 50/50. Popped at Sour Sunday. Pours an oily, dark chocolate-brown color; thin, light-tan head. Bitter chocolate and softly charred barrel in the aroma; restrained alcohol; nothing rough here. Layers of oily, dense and lightly charred dark chocolate; an oily maltiness permeates; slick, viscous imperial stout with a core, delicious roasted maltiness. Clean, tempered alcoholic warmth (this seemed more reserved, particularly barrel-wise, than many of the other versions I’ve sampled; more of a bitter chocolate and stern core warmth than layers of vanilla and bourbon, etc.). Really nicely handled overall, with soft edges. Review written with my elbows tucked in, so excuse the mess. Long finish, showing charred nuttiness and bitter chocolate.
