grant (753), Martinez, California, USA Aug 25, 2007 Slightly orange-tinged yellow appearance. Very big hoppy aroma, resin, peaches, but a tad oily and cheesy. Same dusty/husky malt notes found in PA. Initially sweet flavor, fanning out rather transparently into a soft crystal malt component. Finishes rather thin, somewhat sweet and moderately bitter. DYCSoccer17 (2009), Davis, California, USA Aug 24, 2007 4 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub last week. Cow corn/silage - cow manure like - earthy hopped aroma. Light pine aromas are also detected. A bit weird. Transparent golden-copper body with an off-yellow head present. Earthy and grainy start with some relatively bitter hoppy notes in the start. Becomes relatively juicy with some piney and citrus grapefruity flavored hoppiness to finish. Malts are quiet in the background. Average for an IPA.
