"A little past its prime but still damn good, even if the flavors are slightly muddled and muted. Some rye still shows and some booze, roast and chocolate. Still a smooth sipper."

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Almost clear dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fresh with a mild fine carbonation. Bourbon biscuits in the malt. Light bourbon (the real stuff!), smooth with a touch of oaky vanilla. Whisper of cherry. Smooth finish. Lovely!

Bottle @ a recent bottle share... Poured dark brown-ish with little-to-no head. Nice bourbon notes on the nose and flavor. Tasted grains, oak, toffee, whiskey-soaked wood, light doughy pastry sweetness, and more malts in the finish. Smooth. Nice tasting.

Nose carries bourbon notes, dark toffee, light roast, dark fruit background. Taste comprises dark toffee, oaky bourbon tones, brown sugars, toasted malt, caramel, light booze. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, light booze in the finish. Soild stuff, the alcohol is well integrated.
