COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The lightest of FiftyFifty’s ales, Base Camp is a thirst quenching delight. Pale straw to light gold in color, this beer has a mild malt flavor combined with light bitterness and hop flavor. This beer finishes dry and is very light and refreshing on the palate. Base Camp is a "session beer", meaning you can easily toss back a few in one sitting. So go ahead, pull up a chair and camp out for awhile.

Draft at brewery. Light honey in the nose with some malt and light pepper. Taste is slightly sweet with a touch of honey and pepper. A drying hop finish. ok I guess.

Draft at Fifty Fifty. Slightly hazy golden pour, with a white head. Bready, light grassy hops, belgian yeast notes, and banana esters. Pretty clean, but not a favorite.

(on draught at FiftyFifty). Pours a clear golden color with white head. Nice carbonation. Aroma has cereal, bread and citrus. Taste is semi-sweet with more cereal and bread notes and some light bitterness. Medium bodied with a creamy body. Crisp. Plenty of flavor here. Decent beer for sure.

[Tap] Golden pour with a healthy amount of white head. Light grass and grain aroma. The taste is of light malts, biscuit, straw and mild grass. Sweet finish that is light and clean. Nice mouthfeel and palate. Lively carbonation. I preferred the Blonde #7 to this, but this was a nice beer in its own right.

On tap. Light gold color with little head. Unremarkable in flavor with a slightly hoppy/bitter aftertaste.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours golden with a decent off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a rather thin pale malt flavor that also has a floral feeling to it, and a soft dry finish.

Pours light amber with no head. Decent hop profile in the nose with light caramel. Same in the flavor. Very drinkable.

Sampled in a small quantity at brewhouse. I was really surprised by this one. Full of Belgian goodness. Creamy mouthfeel from extra wheat levels. Really well made brew

On tap at brew-pub. Body is straw gold in color with a smaller 1/2" white cap. Aroma was lightly grassy, soft toasted malts which provided some nice sweetness to balance the grassy hops. Flavor had some bready/biscuity malts, easy bitter hops and a crisp, clean finish.
