Sampled at the brewery. Bready malts, soft spicy character from the rye, very clean and easy drinking, slight tartness/acidity, likely from the rye.

Draft at Craft. Poured hazy coppery brown with off-white head. Nose was rye malt, hops, some caraway, breadiness. Tastes rye malty, hoppy, with backup bready and nutty finishing notes.

On tap @ Stone. Light brown pour with a khaki head. Roasted malt, toast, and some dark fruits. A bit of graham cracker, chocolate, and subtle spice. Flavor is a little bit light. Roasted malts, dark fruits, and some graham cracker. Somewhat sweeter than expected. Chocolate, toast, and subtle spice.

Tap at Stone thanks to womencantsail. Poured clear deep red with lower carbonation. Weaker foam. Nose is malty, sweet chocolate, cocoa mix. Taste is malty, some odd sage spice, light cocoa. A bit bland overall but simple and drinkable. Perhaps a touch of cardboard in the finish.

On tap. Clear reddish brown, with a light tannish head. Malty sweetness, chocolate, nuts, light rye notes, and a bit of fruit. Pretty good for a brown ale.

Draft at Old Eagle a couple weeks ago. Poured plum brown with thin light head. Notes are roasty, heavy malts, chocolate, light fruit, and nuts. Light to medium in body. Hops didn’t come through much for me. Ok
