At FWIBF, Brown pour with a tannish head. A lot of nuttiness involved (no pun intended) with some cocoa in there as well. Taste has some sweetness with malty chocolate and the roasted nuts are back again. Overall a pretty good brown ale.

Rich brown pour wiith a beige head. Strong presence of roasted nuts, toasted pumpernickel bread and maybe a hint of cocoa. Flavor is sweet up front, some lactose sugar notes, roasted nuts and a bit of a bitter finish.

Draft at Firestone-Walker beer fest. Clear chestnut brown color with a great lasting light khaki head. Awesome aroma, very nutty with cocoa. The flavor is also very nutty with a lot going on. Hazelnut stands out. Medium-bodied with a great dryness and subtle carbonation. Really great brown ale. FiftyFifty is crushing it.

Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of malt, chocolate, cocoa, light nuts, and some cream. Poured deep amber/brown in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan/brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, cocoa, bitter coffee, light roasting, and light nuts. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, chocolate, cocoa, bitter coffee, light roasting finish is medium sweet and medium bitter.

On tap at Capones with Todd Ashman. Pours a murked out brown, full coverage of lacing. Aromas and taste of cinnamon, oatmeal, spicy rye, milk chocolate, and some nice cascade hops. Very drinkable.
