apparently this starts out as a base beer that FiftyFifty sends out to various brewers to add/blend what they will. I had it at SacBrew and it was a 7% triple. Now a cloudy amber 11% belgian strong. phew! this one’s huge. thick, full, sweet as hell...almost cloying, but i liked it enough after a sampler to get a pint above all their other brews. It was unique in it’s sweetness-while you got the belgian yeast & candi sugar there was also a hint of rum. served way too cold so it was just getting right as my pint was just about gone."

Just what I thought. Aged has mellowed it and it smooth as silk. a wonderful dry finish.

Draft at GABF 2009 where I sought out all the Collaborative Evil versions. Guess it goes here rather than 2008. Hazy yellow-amber with a medium offwhite head. Nose of yeast, light sweetness, and floral notes. Flavor is sweet with some fruitiness.

Draft. orange-amber beer with an off-white head. Malt and estery aroma with some sugars. Sweet malt flavor that’s sugary with fruity esters. Medium-plus bodied. Sweet, sugary malt lingers with fruitiness.

Draft @ FiftyFifty. Pours a medium-dark, murky orange-brown color; creamy off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Very chewy, sweet and generous aroma of Belgian sugars, juicy oranges, and white pepper; the lattermost helps to balance a generous, sticky middle. Full, sticky mouthfeel: huge amounts of unhandled, sweet Belgian sugar, dried oranges and malt-centered fruitiness; way too much overt sugar; hard to drink a lot of this; all but fortified. They quoted me a 12% abv on this one? Medium finish of toasted malts and bland Belgian sugars; a big sweet mess.
