COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Farmhouse Ale is a Saison brewed in the tradition of Wallonian Beer, with no spices and a low finishing gravity. Originating in the farms of Wallonia, and intended as a ’restorative’ for farm hands and coal miners, the focus is on yeast derived flavors and a distinctly ’Belgian’ profile. Definitely not a Wit or Wheat beer; it’s dry, with slight acidity, and definitely thirst quenching.

Draft at brewery. Nose is spicy with some pepper. Pour is hazy with a white head on top. Taste is honey with some pepper and light fruit. ok. no harsh phenols that I don’t like.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours light hazy gold with a white head. Aroma was earthy and seemed to have a hint of apple. Med body or nearly. Flavor seems quite earthy, but not extreme. Touch of citrus. Along with earthy is mildly sour and bitter. Good beer.

pour is a tepid moderately hazed pale golden color with a tight white head. The nose is subtle, a touch on the sweet end, light farmhouse yeast, lemon, faint white pepper, far amount of floral and herbal hops. The taste is also assertively hopped, light farmhouse yeast and the sweetness is now more from the hops. Faint pepper and floral herbal hop. Almost no bitterness on a lightly carbonated and juicy finish. A touch sweet, light carb, and not quite dry enough but still balanced and very drinkable.

Draft at Fifty Fifty. Hazy golden pour, with a white head. Grain, hay, light banana sweetness, and yeast. Very light, almost too light. Decent.

(on draught at FiftyFifty). Pours a clear golden color with white head. Aroma is banana, some spice and yeast. Taste is sweet with more yeastiness. Light bodied with a slick mouthfell. Smooth. Pretty yummy beer.
