Black, moderate light brown head. Somewhat thin aroma of corn whiskey, chocolate, molasses, licorice, and dark fruits. Smoke, wood, and soy sauce come out during the tasting. Sweetness from the honey, bitterness from the whiskey barrel. Full-bodied, thick, and a bit too much carbonation. Long bitter finish. Definitely a slow sipper.

Bottle at oakquinox 2013. Dark black pour, with a tan head. Chocolate, roasted malt, fudge, vanilla, a bit of dark fruit, wood, and mellow whiskey. Good.

Bottle... Hazy dark brown ale with a small, creamy, khaki head that’s gone in a flash. Bourbon, caramel, chocolate and leather are the aromatic elements that stand out the most. Medium to full-bodied with relaxed carbonation. The bouquet is an interwoven, moderately sweet assortment of bourbon, deeply-roasted malts and fudge. Finishes bourbony and warming. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

4/11/13. Bomber. Side by side with 4 other Eclipses. Krunk. Black pour with a small tan head. Rich sweet BA aroma... I don’t know this wheat whiskey, but this is nice. Smooth with tons of fudge, caramel, coconut, and more. Damn tasty.

Bottle. A middle of the road treatment witch was surprisingly smooth. I really dig those those caramel malt, vanilla, oak, and dark roasted malts. Good body and mouthfeel. A very nice imperial stout...

Bottle @ Oakquinox 2013. Black in color with a tan head. A bit smokey. Charred oak, dark fruit, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and vanilla. A bit boozy, some caramel, whiskey, and licorice. Slight smokiness to the flavor, too. Roasted malt, a bit of alcohol/whiskey, and a bit of chocolate. Licorice, notes of vanilla, caramel, and a bit of dark fruit.

Bombers from Capone’s, Blue Dog, and Smith’s. Pours thick deep black with tan head. Nose was scotchy oaky whiskey, roasty malt, molasses. Tasted rich, with dark malt, oak, and a scotchy wheaty spirit flavor. Thick and rich.

Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a treacle and whiskey aroma. There is a full-bodied chocolate and dark molasses flavor with a warming alcohol trail.

Nose is bourbon forward but not too heavy. Bit of light vanilla. Touch of oak. Just a bit of ash. Medium body.
