Black pour orange hue with light beige head ..... aroma of dry oak, whiskey, semisweet chocolate and vanilla .... taste is interesting chocolate, sugary, vanilla and some spicy grainy whiskey and dry oak .... little boozy version of the eclipse ... good stuff but not my fav or the series

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a pitch black body with a large creamy light beige head. Nose is cocoa, chocolate, coffee, caramel and hints of licorice, biscuits, vanilla and grains. Taste is cold coffee, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, wheat, grains, syrup and hints of espresso, whisky, caramel and deep malty notes. Full body, medium to soft carbonation. Lingering cocoa tastyness, this is really good stuff and perhaps the best from the Eclipse series so far.

Thanks to richlikebeer. Pours coal black with aroma of vanilla, chocolate, dark fruit, and whiskey. Sweet flavor with vanilla, molasses, chocolate, and dark fruit with some wood and a solid whiskey background. Great beer!.

Malzig rauchiger, etwas schokoladiger Antrunk. Vollmundig, der Alkohol ist zum Ende erkennbar. Kann süß, eher trocken, die Aromen sind nicht so intensiv wie sie sein könnten. 9/11/11/11//11

"Overpriced? Yes. Really good? Yes. Not top tier like the Grand Cru or ECraig 20, but better than the Evan Williams or Old Fitz easily. Bigger, more dimensions too it - chocolatey, roasty malt. Lots of barrel influence. Vanilla and booze. Don’t think I’ve ever had a wheat whiskey, but this piques my curiosity."

[5637-20130816] Bottle. Roasted barrel wood grain aroma. Black brown body with a medium-lasting foamy tan head. Sweet roasted soya barrel flavour. Full body. Very tasty. (7/4-/8/4/15) 3.8

Bottle at Mane Liquor Eclipse tasting. 2012 version. Pours dark brown with a sticky tan head. Nose is very sweet vanilla, molasses, honey, treacle and a light whiskey bite. Taste is extremely sweet with loads of vanilla and thick, treacle-like honey. Very woody and slightly grassy with a bourbon driven finish. Quite a sharp kick to finish it off. So different to the previous brandy version. This is more like a mans drink rather than a hug the brandy version was. This has more happening with some spikes. A rollercoaster experience of a stout
