22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out lots of exquisite bourbon, oak and wood. Flavour is insanely complex, with loads of bourbon, vanilla, oak, and roasted malt. This must be the finest of the Eclipse series - amazingly complex and deep. Highly decadent and drinkable. Awesome stuff.

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Sweet oaky bourbon notes. Jet black with a creamy beige head. Bourbon and oak notes, chocolate, roast malts and a a bit of booze in the finish. Nice but a bit hot.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bourbon and rich black chocolates is very soothing. Taste is also dominated rich black chocolate notes with some medium bourbon notes with really rounds off the rough or bitter edge of the base stout. Body is full with nice oily and creamy texture with good carbonation with alcohol not that apparent in this version.

Bottle shared @ tasting. Thnx to timfoolery for sending me this! Pours a pitch black beer with a brownish hue around the rims, Small beige head on top. Aroma has nice bourbon characters, smooth caramel and vanilla. Some syrupy things going on. Even some ripe red fruits going on in the background. Flavor is very sweet, well balanced with some touches of vanilla going on again. Cloying mouthfeel. Amazingly well balanced beer.

Bottle shared at mrhangover’s place at his epic Eclipse tasting. Pours very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol, and coffee. Flavour is likewise with a bit of licorice. Full bodied with slightly sticky texture. Awesome, well balanced and very smooth.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2014 Drank with Thijs, Mark, Andy & Marjolijn 31-1-2014. The smell is totally awesome. Cocos is present. Taste is very overwhelming. Alcohol, sweet, cocos, slight coffee, and the great taste of barrel aged stuff. On the downside: some more carbonation would have been awesome. But still, a great beer!

Bottle from Les Caves, Corvallis. 2011 vintage. Pours a very dark brown, little to no tan head. Aroma straight Bourbon, slight jobs of smoke and oak. Roasty tobacco notes. Body slight but really opens up, surprisingly big for age and ABV, no evidence of breakdown. Finish still retains a raw oakiness. Could probably hold onto this another five years and see continued evolution.
