Aroma: raisin, dark chocolate, bourbon. Appearance: Dark brown, ruby tint. Beige and foamy head. Taste: Almost overpowering brown sugar, oak, sugary raisin. Palate: relatively thin, average carb. Too much sweetness. This is a tongue killer. This beer is too much for two people to drink from a 1pint 60z bottle.

Well I don't know what to say about this. I respect the bourbon barrelling it's well integrated and deep, and the carbonation and mouthfeel are spot on. But whoa boy, is it sweet. Way too sweet. One note sweet. It's hard to start and hard to finish. So cloying that it made my tongue feel like it does after I drink a can of coke. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Un brownies liquide avec un glaçage à la vanille et des notes de petits fruits. Le corps soyeux et velouté des eclipse y est encore une fois.

This is a surprisingly fantastic beer. Really rich and heavy in cocoa, vanilla, oak, coffee, and just enough sweetness. Quite sweet in a good way and really great.

Ink black, thin beige lacing. A bit hot on the nose, strong bourbon aroma, bittersweet chocolate, brown sugar, coffee grounds, vanilla, sweet raisins, and charred oak. Blend of honey sweetness and bourbon bitterness. Full-bodied, fairly viscous, but just a bit too much carbonation. Finish is warming from the booze and a little bitter.

"extra" @ cascade + upright tasting sessions - thanks pocketfullofaces-bro-dave. pours very dark brown with a small light beige head, some retention and lacing. burnt caramel, coconut - not over whelming though, molasses, demerara, chocolate, light smoky notes, spices, other woodsy and vanilla toasted oak notes. moderate carbonation, medium body - very oily and silky, sweet and cloying finish. nice.

Bottle at gbbf 2013. Opaque black caramel with loose tan head. Nose is big choc roast booze. More of the same in the flavour with some liquorice. Pretty big alcohol presence. Big bold stout. Very nice.
