COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
4 versions of Eclipse this year. The lions share will go to Evan Williams Single Barrel. Barrels were 10-13 years old. These barrels were kept in an ambient temp storage situation. Approx 180 days in the wood. Should be somewhat bourbon forward with notable barrel character behind the spirit. Beer may have thinned due to storage temp and mild vinous notes based on oxygen pickup during aging. Estimated bottle count...3500. Subject to change...

Lots of thick milk chocolate here. Creamy and dark as the rest. Lots of syrup comes out of this. Lacing a little nicer with mocha head. Some whiskey as well. Bottle thanks to Liam and Sammy.

A study in corn whiskey. Not so carbonated. Boozy. Some lace drops. The barreling yielded tastes of coconut. Drinkable, but to me just a regular imperial stout. Bottle from Premier splitwithh Liam.

Nose is boozy but is also a bit perfume . Mouthfeel is smooth. Flavour is nice but the booze is a touch overbearing but nice . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 vintage shared with some friends. Pours a solid black with a decent sized tan head that slowly dissipates. The aroma is roasty, chocolate, caramel and coffee wrapped in a subtle but evident barrel treatment of vanilla, and sweet bourbon whiskey. The flavor starts off sweet and malty with lots of roast, brown sugar, and chocolate. The barrel notes rush in with vanilla, whiskey, light wood to remind us that this is no ordinary stout. Lingering roast lasts long after every sip. Thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy creamy mouthfeel. This version was probably the smoothest that we sampled tonight.

Bottle vintage 2010 #2519. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody bourbon and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty sweetish bourbon woody chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate finish with hints of bourbon and vanilla in the aftertaste.

2010 vintage. Bottle # 2298. Thanks to kevanb for this one a while ago. A: Pours a dark black color with dark brown edges. A little head forms on the pour and recedes to nothing. No lace. S: Brownie bits with some bitter chocolate. The barrel is nice with smooth bourbon, caramel and oak. T: The bourbon is smooth and sweet up front. There is a fine roasted malt profile with a backing of oak, unsweetened chocolate and a little toffee. M: A tad thin for my liking. Medium light body with a medium carbonation level. O: Very delicious. Not quite in the same echelon as the EC barrel versions, but it is right there. Serving type: bottle

One of my top 5 best beers I ever had...so good that I am aging 2 of them for next 2 years. Vanilla, Chocolate, and Bourbon. Great thick flavor. Pour down in Tulip glass and pretty much it was total black. Sweetest beer I ever had!

2012 bottle. Pours dark brown with khaki head. Aroma is fudge, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is sweet with fudge and vanilla. Full bodied and sticky. Finish has a little bit of alcohol but still smooth. Good, preferred the old Fitzgerald and Bernheim more.
