Pours a dark and thick cola brown with a light tan head that clings to the glass. Good lacing. Vanilla, bourbon, coffee, oak, chocolate malt balls, toffee candies, rich soil, rhubarb and graham crackers. Body is full with some oily and tacky character. Tastes are similar to aroma. Vanilla and minerals are strong with toffee, molasses, chocolate covered raisins. Middle is dries with cocoa and chalk. Ending continues to act dry with bitter grasses and minerals and bakers chocolate.

Bottle @ Ale Arsenal on 1/9/15. Pours black in color with one finger or less of head that dissipates quickly. Plenty of lacing. The aroma is bourbon, caramel, chocolate, and oak. Thinner mouth feel than many in the class, but similar to other Eclipse varietals. The taste is bourbon barrel and roasted malt upfront with some chocolate and caramel. Still a solid beer, but not nearly the best Eclipse varietal.

Grosse. Bière. Cochonne. Comme je les aime.

Pours thick unclear darker coffee with a brighter beige head. Aroma brings sweet barrel and some coffee bitter notes. Flavor brings very balanced mocha notes and smooth barrel as well. Some nice spicy suggestion of vanilla from the barrel with the tongue tingling so well.

Vinatge 2013, Orange. Bouteille.
