Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized dark brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, light to moderately roasted malts, alcohol, wood, liquor. Taste malts, liquor, light to moderately roasted malts, roast, dark malts, liquor, wood lightly. Medium body and carbonation.

22oz bottle of 2013 Vintage pours a viscous black color with some beige head. Mellow sweetness that goes down so easily.

2014 bottle pours like all of the eclipse variants, minus a billowing head, just a small one here. Nose has the nose of whiskey barrel. Taste is more light than the others, some dark chocolate, mild vanilla, tobacco, hint of roasted coffee. Barrel is less prominent. Medium body, creamy.

650ml waxed top bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate and roasted grains with some whiskey notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a light roasted grain bitterness with whiskey and alcohol throughout. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A well balanced brew that is very smooth and tasty. Highly recommended.

Very enjoyable. Green wax 2014 served in a snifter. Balanced aroma of spirits and malt chocolate. Very alluring and pleasant. Taste is full bodied, warmth and mellow, Palate is very smooth, chewy, and easy to drink Overall, one of the best beers I have had.

Bomber from Whole Foods Plymouth. Dark black pour, nose was oaky bourbon, rye malt, cacao. Tastes rich, complex, with a smooth finish, and notes of roasty rye malt, cacao, molasses, and oaky bourbon.

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Big nice barrel notes with a bit of roast. Jet black brown with a rich brown head. Roast, light chocolate and just the most mellow whisky barrel notes. Much less punch in the flavor than I expected. Still nice, just a bit underwhelming.

Share by EricTeusink on a long political night. Bourbon aroma with a little bit of alcohol bit on the back end of the palate. Vanilla and pear. Roasty malt and lots of bittersweet coffee. Medium sweetness. Getting a good bit of the barrel along with a nice balance of the stout working behind it.
