Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted sweet chocolate and bourbon wood aroma. Copious body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My high expectations where met with a standout beer.

Surprisingly thin dark malts with reasonable dark chocolate. Little spice. Mild dark fruits amid the mellow bourbon. Thin dry finish. Tasty but thin.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared during Kennyís 20k tasting in London - many thanks to Jan for this one! Pours oily black-brown with a frothy, beige head. Sugary chocolate on the nose, some brown bread, dark fruits. Medium sweet flavour with earthy bitterness, charred malts, baking cocoa, ash. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, with notes of burnt sugars, more bitter earth, dried fruits, chocolate. Tasty stuff, but it almost seemed a little thin. I normally love the FiftyFifty BA impy stouts, but this one was just OK.
