Bottle shared by Adam. Thanks! Was intrigued to give this a go, knowing what mellow corn actually is. Part of me also wishes that Todd would just focus on figuring out the best use of barrels rather than release a dozen of these, half of which arenít that great. But I digress. Pours a deep black, oil with a brown head. Nose is hot, fusel with caramel and booze, faint apple. Roast and molasses. Also strongly oxidized and oaky. On tasting, it is thin bodied. Distinct roast and big booze quotient. Really a huge let down relatively speaking.

2012 Bottle. Near black pour with a tan head. Aroma and flavor of hot boozy bourbon, light smoke, roasted malt, milk chocolate, and oak chips. This barrel aging doesnít add much except a bit of heat.

Pyrmir (3323) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2014
Bomber bottle vintage 2012. Near black with tan head. Aroma is faint and soft, dominated by bourbon and raisins. Taste is soft, very well balanced, bourbon, plums and faint apple notes. One of my favourite Eclipses!

65cl, at 9.5%Vol, Vintage 2012 (with gold metallic wax), new exclusive American brew, with honey, from Mikkeller Webshop, complex Stout, roasted/sweet and slightly alcoholic/spicy, yet not too heavy, balanced, hazy, small head, good Winter brew, yet very expensive!

Bottle at Eclipse 7 Tasting. Pours another opaque black with a tiny beige head. Smells of alcohol. Sweet and dry with aromas of dark chocolate and burned caramel with lots of alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Dry finish with more alcohol and caramel.

SlackerMads (1558) - Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2014
Bottle, 2012. Close to black with a medium sized diminishing tan head. Wooden, brown sugar, molasses, light alcohol presence, bourbon, light dark chocolate. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Not overly dominated by bourbon and overall feels quite light and mellow.

Bottle at home - Easter Tasting. Black - offwhite head. Sweetness, coconut, bourbon, ok light malty, light bitterness, light boozy nose, dried fruits, rather high raisins, a bit thin finish.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2014 Black pour with traditional everything. Mellow whiskey, booze, and a nice mellow feel make up the taste profile. Delicious. I was clearly hammered while reviewing this.

22oz bottle from Capones. With Paul looking over my shoulder I will say only that this is quite the obtuse beer. Although there is some isosceles on the finish. Mellow, slight hint of gold, surprizingly sober...tasty.

BR2/2012. Krämig och fyllig. Lite spritig men ingen fara när man är lite avtrubbad. Riktigt fin och balanserad i övrigt

22 oz. bottle shared by Eric S. at Phatdog1ís house. BR 1 written on the front label. Pitch black with light head retention. When the stout is swirled around it leaves an oily film around the edges. Nice mellow whiskey notes of oak and vanilla. Flavor starts off sweet with toffee, with vanilla and marshmallow through the middle. After the sip I did get a slightly different aftertaste I havenít experienced in a stout. I have never had Mellow Corn Whiskey butÖ I have to say that must be the influence. The texture on my tongue was oily with the body in the medium range. I didnít pick up any of the 9% ABV level. For me I really liked it and canít wait to try some of the other barrels.
