Bomber from Nugget Market in Davis, CA. Pours very dark brown with a slight foamy dark tan head. Aroma of rich dark malt, bourbon and alcohol. Med + body. Flavor is whisky - something a bit different from bourbon somehow- bourbon, chocolate, dark fruit and I could even say anise. The alcohol nose persists, and so does the "whiskey" aspect. Oak/wood is very low key. For some reason this is a much easier drinker than most of the Eclipse versions. Way too easy.

Benzai (14074) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 22, 2016
Bottle @ FiftyFifty Eclipse Charity Tasting. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, corn sweetness. Taste malts, soft roast, sweetish, lightly vanilla, decently bitter in the finish. Full body, medium carbonation. Lovely.

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt and bourbon wood aroma. Medium to full body and smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex bourbon sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations and could be a standout with some age.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, corn whiskey, roasted malt, oak, caramel and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, oak, roasted malt and light corn whiskey with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.
