Aroma is boozy, sweet whiskey. Pours dark brown with no head. Very inviting. Tastes very sweet and strong alcohol flavor but not bad. Finishes extremely smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great smooth and dark chocolate background. The whisky is smooth but soft, not much alcohol there. The stout is deep and roasty, but the whisky is not really here. The beer is - as usual - round and smooth with a nice chocolate aroma. But there I miss the whisky counterpart.

Bottle @ FiftyFifty Eclipse Charity Tasting. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, corn sweetness. Taste malts, soft roast, sweetish, lightly vanilla, decently bitter in the finish. Full body, medium carbonation. Lovely.

Bomber @ FiftyFifty Charity Tasting: Vintage 2012: Served in a taster: Black body with a light tan lacing. Aroma is a bit boring after all this violence: roast, light bourbon, liquorice, light vanilla... Flavour is roasty, honey, liquorice, some bitters, loght sweet tones like brown sugars... Aftertaste is roasty, whiskey/bourbon... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, close to full bodied.

Flavors of dark chocolate, oak, roasted malt and light corn whiskey with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

Bottle to pint glass (BR/3 2012) One of my birthday beers. It’s been sitting in the cellar for 2.5 years. Caramel, rye, soy, molasses, treacle, sour blackcurrant, vanilla, and honey. Black with a thin, creamy, light tan head. Taste is caramel, toasted malt, soy, dark chocolate, and late bourbon sweetness and some bitterness. Wow...this was worth the wait, I think. I imagine this was too hot a couple years ago, but it’s now well balanced.

2012 gold wax. The roasty malt is dominant in this one with a touch of sweet bad booze. The bourbon and barrel really faded out on this one. Reminds me of how bourbon county starts getting after like 6 years, but accomplished that in half the time. Not really digging this one for the style, and especially bad or the price.
