Bottle from trade. Thanks buddy! Blue wax, 2012 Bottle Run 3. Pours dark brown to black with some light shining through, and a small khaki to mocha colored head on top. Aroma of dark fruits, lots of char, oxidation, vanilla, oak, bourbon. Flavor is sweet caramel, char, oak, and a big long vanilla marshmallow finish. Big maltiness here with sweet caramel more reminiscent of a barrel aged old ale or barleywine. Really picked up the barrel nicely. Medium plus bodied with low plus carbonation. The finish is the highlight here. Pretty nice. Very smooth. Aroma taking away from overall.

April 11, 2014 - bottle shared by me. Black pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was roasted malt, chocolate and bourbon. Taste was super sweet vanilla with some chocolate and bourbon. Very good, but wish it was a bit more balanced with the sweetness and bourbon.

Bomber. Deep cola brown pour with a soapy beige head. Bourbon, wood, and mild vanilla on the nose. Taste is fairly sweet - molasses and vanilla. Really good stuff.

Bottle thanks to TheBeerSommelier! Pours black with a nice tan head. Beautiful aromas of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and dark fruits. Med body with layers of vanilla, light bourbon, oak tannins, chocolate and light coffee. Smooth finish with bigger barrel notes and some heat.

BR3/2012 blå vax. Fyllig doft. Härlig balans. Drag av vanilj. Tydligt lyft mot den föregående (four roses). Sötma i balans. Lite kaffe. Här är provpanelen överens. Den är bra.

Similar to the Evan WIlliiams without quite the panache or verve. Still an excellent BA IRS ILTD.

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a mellow dark molasses and bourbon flavor with a warm trail.

Bottle @ vertical eclipse tasting, thanks Mr. Hangover! Aroma is big Bourbon, toffee, caramel, liquorice, molasses, oak, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, some tar. Wow. Flavour is creamy chocolate, vanilla, oak, roast, more chocolate, molasses, liquorice, some alcohol, more vanilla, some anise. Awesome.
