Smooth and fresh beginning. Soft and smooth. Very fresh and smooth with a nice complex body. Wood with lots of smooth and fresh Bourbon. Great and easy to drink. Nice smooth woody aroma. The Bourbon and the wood harmonise and fit in great. The chocolate and the Whisky are a great combination with hints of wood! Great! Fascinating brew!

Black color with tan ring. Aroma is vanilla, black chocolate, and co. Taste is the same. A bit spicy, not so alcoholic. Excellent Imperial Stout, but they start to blend in.

"As the prices continue to climb on these already expensive brews, they may just be reaching the limit of my personal cost-benefit analyses. The best of last years (Grand Cru, Iced, Elijah Craig 20) were worth it, hands down. The rest are very good, but not world beaters. This one was $25 at the brewery! Anywho...never had Rebel Yell. I’m told it’s not the best bourbon. While this isn’t my favorite Eclipse, the barreling is pretty nice. Loads of chocolate and coffee and roasted malt. Warmth, not heat, from the barrels with an additional sweetness. Not as complex as some, but very very tasty."

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours the same. Awesome nose, dirty ashiness, tobacco leaf, oak and bourbon. Taste is ashy, nice molasses sweetness cutting through. Oily mouthfeel, slightly more carbonated than the rest.

Bottle at Mane Liquor Eclipse tasting. 2012 version. Pours dark brown with a sticky tan head. Nose is honey forward with vanilla, molasses and treacle. Kind of grassy too. Taste is honey and vanilla sweetness with a mild woodiness and slightly grainy. A poor whiskey kick on the finish. Tobaccoey for sure. Simpler than the previous Bernheim Wheat and not of the same quality.
