4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
2012 bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is oak, booze, and chocolate. Thick mouthfeel with rich chocolate and light roast finish, hides alcohol well, very impressive.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ale Alpharetta December Meeting. My second experience of the Eclipse 50/50 series. Had side by side with the Evan Williams version and this was .1 higher due to the cheaper (debatable) whiskey was a bit smoother in the finish. Black pour. Lots of chocolate, some coffee, great level of bourbon taste. Oaky, vanilla, awesome. Slick/full mouth. Booze is rather hidden. Great brew.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, thnx to NorCalGrowler, shared with friends, 2012 vintage. Pours a pitch black beer with a quickly fading, beige head on top. Aroma is peaty, molasses, sugar, caramel and big oak. Flavor is a bit rough and edgy, with some peaty notes shining trough, quite boozy and very powerful. Medium thick mouthfeel, oily texture. Well balanced roughness and not too sweet. Very nice!

Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a thin tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, chocolate, liqourice and boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a strong bitter liqoirice palate. A super beer. Really awesome.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: Dark Opaque Hue, Passes No Light, Brownish Head, Some Lacing
S: Bourbon, Chocolate, Bananas
T: Bourbon, Chocolate, Toasted Dark Malts
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium to Full Bodied, Semi Boozy, Mildly Sweet
Overall, not bad but the boozy bourbon taste seemed a little too virgin.
