Pours golden amber with a fine bubbled eggshell head. Nice full nose of tropical fruit and caramel. Same in the flavor. Dry clean finish and a bit creamy on the palate.

On tap. Pours a murky amber with little head. Has an initial grapefruit and passion fruit taste that mellows and lingers. A nice hop aftertaste but not overly bitter. Overall, I really liked this beer.

Sampled at the Bistro IPA fest. Nice citrus, mango, grapefruit aroma. The flavor is balanced with caramel/toffee maltiness and a big earthy finish. Very satisfying.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really a top notch IPA and one of my favorites from this weekend. A huge, dense, citrusy/grapefuity aroma with a balanced sweet apple-like sweetness. Bitter hops flavor really shines thru on the flavor with a length and intensity that seemed quite fresh. Sweet malts helps keep things in check and doesn’t really add much other than balance but the hops do really shine thru.

This is an uber-hoppy IPA. It does not mess around. Alot of hop aroma and bitterness. A sipping IPA but still balanced

Tap at Sacramento Brewing Co. Pours a copper/amber with a rather frothy beige head that laces. Pine aroma. Maybe some citrus. Medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is pine and/or grapefruit rind, and the malt is hardly noticeable at first. This is a good bitter beer, that shows a bit of florality and maltiness as the main bitter drains away. The florality comes forth with time. Bottom line: it’s bitter. Really good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the ’09 Bistro IPA Fest in Hayward, CA. Orangish-amber color with a white head and good retention. Aroma very fruity with citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor is caramel malt, earth, and hops more on the citrusy end. Also some tropical fruit, pineapple and guava. Palate medium for the style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This copper ale poured with a modest off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a nice toffee flavor with just the right amount of hopping to produce a balanced taste.

On tap @ the brewpub.Clear slightly dark orange with a well retained off-white head. Clean citrus hops in the nose with some lightly sweet caramel behind and light soapy notes. The flavor does have a little more of the earthy and sweet caramel the Landslide had, with surprisingly more alcohol noted (at2.3% less, 6.7%). Medium body with light carbonation. Liked the Landslide better.
