Sampled at the brew house. A very quality made brew with a good hop palate but not overly powerful. The base of the brew was really well done

Draft at Fifty Fifty. Clear amber pour, with a white head. Caramel, sweet malts, piney hops, light tropical fruit, and citrus. Nice amount of hops, but still quite sweet, which I don’t like too much.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dcschiller (1682) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 21, 2011
(Sample provided by Todd at the brewpub). This wasn’t on tap, but he brought a glass out from the brewery. Pours a hazy orange-copper color with soapy off-white head. Aroma is a nice mix of resinous and tropical (mango) hops. Taste is sweet, bready malts with light citrusy hops. Medium bodied with an oily texture. Really tasty.

On tap at Blue Palms during their Eclipse Release Night. Pours with a mostly clear golden hued body with a small white head that doesn’t last very long (low carbonation it appears). Aromas of lots of sticky resin, grapefruit, Centennial and some tropical fruit. A bit of earthy and pine hop notes and some sticky caramel. Flavors are nice and fresh with hope notes of citrus, tangerine and grapefruit. Mild malt and light caramel. Medium bitterness. Lower carbonation than I would like. Dry. Tasty and fresh!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 NobleSquirrel (2677) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 31, 2011
Draft at CDA at Fizz. Pours a deep golden amber. Strictly west coast nose of catty citrus and resin. Quite a robust nose, not my favorite profile though. Some toasty malts peek out of the background as well. On taste, more of the catty notes, lots of citrus and some crispness to the hops as well. Quite unsupported in a lot of ways to me. Robust hop profile but seems like a certain malt quality to really make this one shine. Alright.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheAlum (3299) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - MAY 23, 2011
Draft pour at Craft Day Afternoon (Chicago, IL). Pours a well hazed amber hue, some glowing sunny lemons on the side with a moderate bright white head that dies to a film and laces ok. Aromas are a rich melange of citrusy lemons, florals, and grass mix with touches of gumball, oranges. Some grapefruit moving into bready and biscuity malts, touches of toast and bread dough. A lively hop forward nose preaching fruity hops. Initial is a strong bitter green hop presence up front, weeds and grass moving into bigger lemon and grapefruit bitterness. Dry grass, earthy, moving into a strong piney bitterness, florals. Touches of biscuity malts poke in and out, but it remains a raging fresh green hop appeal. Finish is dry and bitter preaching citrusy and dank green weedy hops, dandelions. Dry pine, with just a touch of gumball and biscuits. Good god this is fresh.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy brass color with a clingy white head that lasts. Bouquet of fresh hops...very Earthy. Taste is a fresh hop elixir. There is malt there but you don’t notice it much. Very fragrant and flavorful. Yum.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - APR 19, 2011
[Tap] Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Strong hop aroma features grapefruit, heavy orange and other citrus notes. These tropical fruits are a bit more restrained in the flavor, with pineapple and floral notes becoming more evident. Caramel malts keep the bitterness in check. Noticable alcohol warming in the finish. Decent mouthfeel/palate. A pretty nice IPA.

Pours golden amber with a fine bubbled eggshell head. Nice full nose of tropical fruit and caramel. Same in the flavor. Dry clean finish and a bit creamy on the palate.
