22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a puffy tan head. Nose is light coffee and chocolate, fig and honey. Medium body with a silky mouthfeel finishing chalky with a lingering roasty tang. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, espresso, grapefruit and wood. Solid stuff; would benefit with some aging to temper the hops.

Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing during his 50th birthday bash. Pours a dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roast malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee. The finish is roasty with a resiny hops and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Pour is jet black with a dark caramel head and lots of large bubbles. Nose is roast, olive, touch of marker, a hint ashy, and notes of chocolate cake. Taste has light roast, cake is brighter, lots of bakers chocolate and some malt sweetness. the magic marker is gone. Creamy full body, good carbonation and a lingering roasted bitterness trough the finish.
