The beer poured a very light brown with red hues on the sides of the glass and 1/2 finger of a khaki colored head. The aroma was slightly muted and consisted of toasted malt. Davy Brown is true to the style and the flavors were of toasted malt, nuttiness and was very smooth.

Tap pour@Braukunst Live ’15 - SA, danke either motelpogo or oldmanriver... Smells like pancakes drizzled with caramelised maple syrup. Seamy, easygoing silky mouthfeel, feeding you a liquid dessert of toffee, milk chocolate cake spiked with hoppy red berries. Mellow & nice.

Poured from a bomber, dark brown with a reddish hue, and medium light tan head. Nose was a blend of fruit, malt, caramel, nice blend. Taste had that cola like feel, slight sweetness, chocolate, malt, with a bitter finish.

Pours a medium brown color with a light caramel malt flavor. Taste is clean but watery. A simple beer that was well balanced but lacking in complexity. A small sweetness to the beer, with an easy bitter aftertaste.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, cocoa, earth into a bit of yeasty spice, slight grass. Taste was a mix of grass, earth, toasted bread into some cocoa, slight caramel, hints of red fruit, finishing slightly sweet, dry.

Deep brown color. Nice caramel and toasted malt notes. Seems to be more like a porter than a regular brown ale, but a very tasty one.

Keg at the Big Sur Taphouse on PCH1, 30/04/14. Chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is toffee, dark fruits, nutty tang, brown sugar. Taste comprises toffee, light vanilla, touch of cocoa, subtle hop presence, biscuit crumble. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok middle of the rod brown, a touch better than most to be fair!
