3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep orange with a very nice foam. Big Pacific Northwest IPA aroma is balanced nicely with a sweet caramel base. I canít say that any specific variety or single flavor draws me into this beer. Itís just nice.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from World Market. The nose is hopped and somewhat piney. Not super hoppy for a double. A little sweetness with a bit fair amount of hop flavor. Pretty malty for the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to docjitsu. Pours a clear reddish orange color with a huge fluffy white head that looks like whipped egg whites. The aroma is of slight fruity hops. Subdued for a DIPA. The taste is malty to start but quickly finishes bitter. Refreshing mouth feel.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is dirty hops and caramel malt. The taste is earthy hops, cooper penny, with a slighty sweet malty backbone. Itís just ok. Pretty weak taste for a west coast double Ipa. Itís not a bad beer, just below average.

Tap, served in a pint glass. Pours a filtered golden color with excellent white head, great head retention leaving rings of lace as the beverage subsides. Big aromas of pine, grapefruit, slight pineapple, earthy, floral, some weeds, resiny and a kiss of caramel malt. Taste is heavy, with lots of malt character to back up the intense hoppy bitter bite. Lots of pine and oily/resiny mouthfeel, very light citrus. Nice flavors of stone fruit, caramel, toasty malts, and eventually some grapefruit. Nice crisp, dry finish. Itís nice to see a smaller/new brewery come out with big beers to challenge the market. Well done!
