COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hurricane Deck IPA is an aggressive IPA designed with hopheads in mind. We blend four hops, Columbus, Centennial, Chinook and Cascade, to recreate the ruggedness and intensity of the Trail. The higher alcohol content and skillful use of specialty malts emphasize the clean, crisp hop character.

Bottle from Keg N Bottle #2: Appeared as a dense golden honey hue with a decent development of frothy head on top. Aroma has obvious scents of green hop pellets but has a heavy presence of bready malts and a funky yeast strain that throws me off considering this was an Imperial IPA. The taste is putrid and unbalanced between bread like malts with the addition of hop pellets all while the alcohol heats up the palate. Might have actually tasted good if was on tap instead of bottled.

On tap at UnionAle, Santa Barbara CA. Light amber almost see-through. White head disappeared quickly. Strong sweet grapefruit scent, awesome. Tangy citrus grapefruit flavor. Hops are super juicy, not terribly bitter but very very good. Medium body, high carbonation. Finish is toasty nut flavor and more pine-hop bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours caramel brown with a slick of white foam. Aroma is light hop bitterness, pine, a slight off aroma, and a fairly dry malt backbone. Taste is clean hop bitterness and pine with some caramel and toasted malt before some alcohol and sweetness into the finish. Coating mouthfeel. Struckme more as a hoppy strong ale than a IIPA but this is by far the best beer I’ve had from this brewery.

22oz bottle. Rating #13. Dark copper color with a light beige head. Big tropical fruit aroma, nice sweetness. Sweet tropical fruit flavor as well, picking up a little pineapple, mild bitterness and a pleasant fruity aftertaste. (2347)

First taste from this brewery and it was decent. The aroma was fairly malty and could use a heavier hop punch. The flavor was roasty malts at first which gave way to a slightly astringent bitter finish. Not my favorite.

I poured this into my trusty snifter glass and got a nice copper colored brew with 1/2 a fingers worth of a khaki colored head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was amazing and had a great woodsy smell to it along with some grass and citrus fruits. The taste is very earthy and piney bursting with hop goodness that balances well with the malt and completely masks the 8% ABV. The mouth feel is medium to light medium and leaves a nice lingering after taste that is slightly tart. Truly a great DIPA

$8.49 22oz bottle. Pours with a somewhat orange to copper hue with brilliant clarity and a somewhat off-white head. Medium lace, slight trace alcohol legs. Aromas are of citrus, somewhat dank and pungent CTZ, a touch herbal, grapefruit, resin, some grassy and floral notes. Mostly hops, but also a somewhat distracting crystal character as well. Flavors are somewhat nutty malt character (not astringent, but on the way), medium to light esters, darker caramel malts, resin, pine, citrus. Malt sweetness and character is about on par with a SN Torpedo or similar, but with a bit more alcohol push. Assertively bitter. A thankfully dry finish. Good, classic AIPA character. Medium notes of higher alcohols in the finish. Floral and grassy. Medium bodied, medium to fuller carbonation. Pretty solid.

Bomber bought from Whole Foods. I had their IPA earlier and enjoyed it alot, this is really good as well. Big nose of pungent hop blast explosions......dark dark orange, very clear. Taste is a great balance of big malts with hoppy bitterness and punch. For a brewery that I’ve never heard of prior to buying 2 bombers at WF this afternoon, I’m very impressed! I will buy more of this stuff.
