5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is by far the best Double IPA I have ever had. One of my favorite beers at Fig. Happy to see them in bottles now too.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
I poured this into my trusty snifter glass and got a nice copper colored brew with 1/2 a fingers worth of a khaki colored head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was amazing and had a great woodsy smell to it along with some grass and citrus fruits. The taste is very earthy and piney bursting with hop goodness that balances well with the malt and completely masks the 8% ABV. The mouth feel is medium to light medium and leaves a nice lingering after taste that is slightly tart. Truly a great DIPA

A stunning double IPA with a complex blend of hops - makes every sip intense, but so delicious.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a copper red with an antique white head. Head retention was noted to be excellent. Tangy grapefruit nose. Nice mouthfeel. Wonderful, complex DIPA. Malty up front, yielding to a rush of grapefruit, and finishes with a pine bitterness that lingers on the palate. Figueroa Mountain knocks it out of the park again!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This IPA comes to life. One of the more drinkable West Coast DIPA’s that I have come across. Citrus, piney, bubblegum on the first taste. I think it is more than 8% so I had two of these and took it easy after that but very tasty.

[US West Coast 2013] en humlig och fruktig aroma. Lite jordig i smaken. Beska med fint långt häng. Kraftig med döljer alkoholen riktigt bra!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber bought from Whole Foods. I had their IPA earlier and enjoyed it alot, this is really good as well. Big nose of pungent hop blast explosions......dark dark orange, very clear. Taste is a great balance of big malts with hoppy bitterness and punch. For a brewery that I’ve never heard of prior to buying 2 bombers at WF this afternoon, I’m very impressed! I will buy more of this stuff.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber pours clear copper with thin gold edges and a white head of foam and leaving behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up tropical mango fruitiness mixing with orange citrus hard candy and maybe a thin floral hop note around the edges. The taste is solid with rich hops coming from mango and grapefruit and malt sweetened lime. I get a pleasing mix of hop flavor and hop bitterness to midway. Into the finish the malt sweetened citrus note fades leaving tasty grapefruit like hop bitterness. This isn’t a style pushing offering but darn good.

Tap, served in a pint glass. Pours a filtered golden color with excellent white head, great head retention leaving rings of lace as the beverage subsides. Big aromas of pine, grapefruit, slight pineapple, earthy, floral, some weeds, resiny and a kiss of caramel malt. Taste is heavy, with lots of malt character to back up the intense hoppy bitter bite. Lots of pine and oily/resiny mouthfeel, very light citrus. Nice flavors of stone fruit, caramel, toasty malts, and eventually some grapefruit. Nice crisp, dry finish. It’s nice to see a smaller/new brewery come out with big beers to challenge the market. Well done!
