3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Pours very clear golden apple, medium off white head, dissipates slowly, great lacing. Aroma is a bit light, but solid tropical mango, melon, grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, pleasing citrus and melon flavor, biscuit malts. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Would benefit from less sweetness, but otherwise pleasant enough.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours golden orange, filtered with a thin white head. Smells of lots of spice, mango, sugar sweetness, pineapple, pine, and a strong caramel backbone. Smells like an old school IPA. Taste of mango candy, some pine, lots of caramel malt, noticeable head in the end. But its not to distracting. With low bitterness in the end. The moutfeel is highly carbonated, low bitterness, with a medium body. Overall its too sweet, malt forward ipa.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAR 12, 2016 A joint tasting with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. This beer from a 22 oz poured a cloudy orange. Big off white head. Excellent retention. Good lacing. Nose is tropical fruit, some melon orange peel and pine. Full body. Good mouth feel; and alcohol is hidden. The flavor is intense and very rich. There is all the things in the aroma and the melon and citrus are well balanced against the caramel malts. The finish is earthy and nicely bitter. The heat shows up in my neck but is otherwise not detectable. This makes this big beer really easy drinking and almost dangerous. Simply outstanding.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Very hazy dingy golden. A three finger off white head leaves sticky lacing. The aroma offers soft fruit and gentle floral notes. It is not big at all. Two sips in I was feeling the alcohol warming. There is a lot of fruit in the flavor. It is almost pulpy. Complexity is nice. Ron and I both suspect this has a lot of Simcoe. Melons, tropical fruit, earth, and big sweetness here. Balance is nice and this is dangerous stuff! A big alcohol beer that drinks this easily should have a license! This has a lot to like.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasting at Mattís
Hazy golden color, small head. Powerful fruity hops aroma, mango, some tropical; later, some musky hop too. Lean body, somehow the stickiness is kept at bay by a strong alcohol feeling, and the sweetness is moderate; the pale malt is good, and itís a good choice, for the powerful resiny and fruity hopping; the hop character is resiny, fruity, and a bit musky, all.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of piney hops, some resin and biscuity malt. Flavour is a bit aged, with notes of piney and earthy hops, with some fruity notes, and bready malts. A little sweet, but with a really nice piney hop quality. Would be better fresher (this is best before Jan. 31, 2016), but this is still very good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mar í15. On tap at Hopfenreich, Berlin. What confuses me is that ABV was stated as 6% on the blackboard, an error I guess. It had a clear golden body wit medium sized head. Aroma was IPAish, citrus, especially orange and sweeter tropical fruits. Very fruity flavor, too. Watermelon, papaya, citrus fruits, along with a touch of biscuit malt. More sweet than bitter actually, but very balanced. Full bodied with a bit dryer finish, although fruits were carrying it on all the way. Double IPAs so often show how human palate is deceived on the actual IBU scale. Anyway, a bit "girly", as I wrote in my notes, referring to the sweetness and fruitiness. But very pleasant for sure.
