COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Statgecoach Stout is an oatmeal stout, as dark as Santa Ynez at midnight with hints of chocoate, espresso and smoke. It is afull-bodied, intensley-rich ale with a velvety smooth finish.

Bottle. The pour is dark with little head. The aroma is full of malt with a little smoke and chocolate. The taste is a little lighter than I thought it would be. The smoke comes through on the taste as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft sample. Poured black color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee, chocolate and smoke aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet roasted coffee flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. This is the style I favor and this is a solid brew.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma of tobacco, coffee grounds. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light coffee bitterness. Medium body, creamy.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy light tan head. Aroma for me is mildly smokey burnt malt with celery notes. Med body. Flavor is mildly smokey, with some earthy coffee and chocolate. It gets a little ashy. Finishes reasonably dry with earthy chocolate. I would not say the finish is velvety smooth. Better not!

Rich, dark stout clocking in at a mere 5.6% but producing a robust brownie batter, roasted coffee, and split vanilla bean flavor. Aroma is assertive as well with similar qualities. Silky on the palate and highly sessionable. This is the second beer I’ve had from this brewery and I’ll be on the look out for more. Delicious.

Opaque black with a modest tan head and ok lace. Coffee/espresso aromas are strong upfron, with chocolate and dark fruits following. Flavors are similar, with the sweetness of milk chocolate most evident. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, and the milk chocolate sweetness lingers in the finish. Ok, but there’s much much better out there.

Black body with a tan head. Milk chocolate, medium roast malt, toasted aromas. Medium bodied. Milk chocolate sweet flavors with medium roasted toasted cafe mocha--good

Nearly black with a tan head. Aroma is all chocolate, roasted grain, light vanilla, light lactose note. Flavor is smooth and has a nice roasted flavor with cocoa and some coffee to be found.
