Wow, had this on draft at one of their accounts in the Central Coast on a trip with my friends. Heard about this one after it won an award at GABF and hadn’t seen it since. Saw it tried it, loved it

A very complete beer from start to finish. Rich chocolate middle, and coffee finish but not too overbearing. Dark head. Aftertaste is smokey but even. Hint of licorice. No nitro needed for this beer. Great representation of a special stout. I would not say this is an English Stout. Had this on tap at the tasting room. Don’t know if it is in bottles or not. Would recommend.

Bottle expertly smuggled cross country by my brother, thanks for the opportunity.
Pours the darkest shade of brown with faint wisps of garnet highlights on the edges. A creamy beige head rises upon first pour but falls to a cap rather quickly. Sweet sugary malt mixed with caramel chocolate and roast waft out of the glass in waves toward my nostrils. My taste buds become enthralled with waves of flavor starting with earthy caramel and brown sugar, segue into chocolate and roasted grains, followed by hints of dark fruits and earthy hops and finishing with a long lingering roast. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and silky creamy mouthfeel. WOW is what I said after the first sip and now I’m trying to figure out why I haven’t heard of this brewery before. This is a great example of a well crafted oatmeal stout!

I was traveling to CBC in San Francisco in March, pulled off the 101 to catch some zzz’s and met the bartender at the Clubhouse Sportsbar in Buellton. I asked the bartender for a local brew. Recommended to me was the Hoppy Poppy IPA. I was also informed that the brewery was within walking distance and I should drop over to the tasting room before my departure. At the tasting room at Figueroa Mountain, a seasonal "Stagecoach Stout" was offered. I shared the beer with several friends from Canada and United States and they all agreed it is an excellent, well balance representation of the traditional UK style. Incredible lacing and chocolate aroma made the torential rains during CBC an afterthought. Way to go!

i had this on tap at figueroa mountain brewing and it’s a nicely done. They listed it as an oatmeal stout however the aroma and flavor have really nice notes of coffee and chocolate. I thought it was well-crafted

Rich, dark stout clocking in at a mere 5.6% but producing a robust brownie batter, roasted coffee, and split vanilla bean flavor. Aroma is assertive as well with similar qualities. Silky on the palate and highly sessionable. This is the second beer I’ve had from this brewery and I’ll be on the look out for more. Delicious.

Nearly black with a tan head. Aroma is all chocolate, roasted grain, light vanilla, light lactose note. Flavor is smooth and has a nice roasted flavor with cocoa and some coffee to be found.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) rich espresso brown, few off-white bubbles. Nose of rich chocolate, cream, a bit of honey too. Not too complex, but really smells nice. Taste of milk chocolate, light chocolate malt grain, toasty, smooth. Medium to light body, creamy finish.

Draught at the brewery. Properly dark appearance. Lots of dark roasted malt and an ample sweetness. Nails the robust, almost foreign stout profile. Good stuff.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy light tan head. Aroma for me is mildly smokey burnt malt with celery notes. Med body. Flavor is mildly smokey, with some earthy coffee and chocolate. It gets a little ashy. Finishes reasonably dry with earthy chocolate. I would not say the finish is velvety smooth. Better not!
