Old school stubbie! Pours a deep brassy gold with a foamy white head that leaves some lace. Sweet corn syrup cereal aroma. Sweet corny grainy flavour with a dry pithy bitterness in the finish. Enjoyed in gorgeous fiji, which adds a point or two! Of all the lagers available in fiji (5 that I found, if you count the newly discovered fiji draught), this was the best IMO.

The Sportsmans drink apparently. Is the go in Fiji. Reminded me of XXXX or VB. No head and deep amber colour. Watery and a bit bland. Must drink it very cold.

Bottle courtesy of Phyllis Svetich. She packed a six pack, and five broke. She gave me the survivor. Thanks! Light, sweet, pale malt aroma. No detectable hop. Orange gold color with a white smear for head. Itís a bit fruity, a little bready, and mildly bitter. Medium body with light carbonation. Drinks more like a light ale than a pale lager. Bitter comes herbal, and tends to build up with time. Fiji could have it worse.

Perceived sweetness but still dry. More bitterness than expected -- dusty, herbal, viney. Worty. A bit of caramel like malzbier. Not bad. Some body as well.

12 oz can at Toncatchers tasting. Poured a yellow gold color with a small white head. The aroma was light and slightly corny. The flavor was a bit weak with sweet malts. The mouthfeel was thin but not watery. The finish was long with a good lingering caramel flavor. Overall: The caramel finish saved this one.

When in Fiji and you want to get drunk the local fare is the way to go. Typical macro beer. Similar taste to Busch Light.

Canned. Aroma is grainy and light skunky. Yellow color, light hazy, small white irregular head, good lace. Sweet, malty, light bitter to bitter in the finish, thin and metallic. Why do they call this a bitter?

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2007 can; courstey of Per Samuelsson - relatively clear golden colour with almost no foam; the nose shows nothing but discrete plastic notes; the very high carbonation almost hides the poor malt body; sweet and no bitterness (the name of the beer must be ironical); finishes surprisingly dry but short and watery - luckily, Iím not disappointed because there is a long time that I donít expect anymore to have a good beer coming from a new country
