garbage...as bad as the bitter and maybe worse than vanuatuís tusker...kava tastes like mud but at least it does not give you gas. this is on my dirt list...it could be the dirtiest.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2006 Tasted 05/06/2006. 355ml can from New World Island Bay, thanks Brendon! Extremely pale yellow, reasonable lasting white head. Ciderish sugary aroma. Thin, medium-dry, short, no bitterness. Need I say more? Okay, I will. I didnít get close to finishing it and it comes in one of the worst cans Iíve ever seen. Hereís to Todd, who first introduced me to this ghastly drink.

Very pale yellow colour, white head. Adjunct-loaded aroma, corn, faint straw. Thin and watery body with a sweetish finish. This is not good, but after four hours of delayed flights, this is working for me.

Oh great, thanks to a colleague who has just returned from there I get to review another fine example of a pale lager from this part of the world. This is why the locals drink kava. It is not as bad as the flagship Fiji Bitter though. Wow is that saying a lot!

Hazy yellow beer with small floaties. Yeasty aroma with light fruits. Sweet fruity taste with some bitterness midway. Almost like a very light blanche. Thanks to Presario. May 2004.

I thought this was a low alcohol beer but it turns out itís a low joule or low carb beer or something. I donít know why this matters or how itís relevant to my rating but itís going in anyway. The whole low joule thing seems to work pretty well because itís not the horrible sweet mess that Fiji Bitter is. Really has the stamp of CUB all over it, with loads of metallic twang, a distinct apple flavour and a tiny bit of banana as it warms. Itís not terrible.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Sweet aroma, typical of CUB, pale gold colour, no head. like most Aussie owned breweries, sweet, malty lage of no interest. Only good thing about this beer is the location were it was drank.
I thought it was better than the bitter and way beetre than the export.
If anything another country has been added to the list.

(Can) Pours gold with lots of sediment. Thin white head. Nose is yeasty, malt with a mild cantaloupe melon. Watery, with the slighest of hops and malt taste. Thanks to Lubiere for sharing this with me...

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dirty looling beer. Cloudy darkish yellow with yeast floaties. I hope it's yeast cause it actually looks like cork - unexpected in a can. Aroma is lite but reminds me of a fruit flavoured kids medicine. Thicker mouth feel than expected, but no real flavour. Bland is correct with a faint but off dirty aftertaste.

A cheap watery lager is the same the world over.
