Cask at the FILO. Amber gold with a thin white head; aroma of fresh root ginger; thin but pleasant with light fresh root ginger flavour and a touch of lemon grass; the finish is refreshing, lemony, citrus. A good summer refresher.

[3188-20100731] Cask. Super ginger evergreen bursts of fresh aroma. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a quick foamy white head. More spicy ginger in the flavour with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body seems a little gritty. Very gingery!

2010-07-31. Crisp golden amber body with a small off-white head that fades. Good dose of fresh ginger in the aroma. 6+ Flavour is similar, modest refreshing ginger character, light bitterness throughout. Mild malt is supportive, while ginger is the star of the show. More drinkable than many ginger brews, it is fairly well balanced. Average to light bodied palate. Decent, it is nicely made but I would probably not have it again as it is not to my own tastes. Cask conditioned gravity dispense Merchants Inn Rugby. A hazy dark copper coloured beer with no head. A reasonable yet subtle ginger note to the aroma. Much more ginger in the mouth which has a kick of heat. A smooth pleasant base beer which becomes very nice with the ginger added.

Cask at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, 9th Oct 2008. Clear amber. Tons of fresh ginger on the aroma but its not harsh. Fresh tasting with a ginger hint. Very drinkable with a soft bittersweet finish. My socks were knocked off - a great spice beer at last!

Dec 06 Cask conditioned @ FILO, Hastings. I didnt really notice the ginger here but it wasnt your average bitter. Fruity hops and sweet spicy malts. FILO acidity more restrained and in place here. Quite drinkable.

March, 2008 First In Last Out, Hastings Dry ginger. Flower fragrance. A delicate beer like ginger nuts soaked in an APA. Mmmm. [3.9]

Cask at First In Last Out in Hastings. A light brown beer, a bit thin in body but a nice ginger flavour with some hoppiness. I’m a bit of a sucker for ginger beers
