Finch’s Pale Ale is a refreshing experience from the pop of the top. Its fresh and hoppy taste with just enough supporting malt makes it easy to kick back more than just one. Our late kettle additions of American hop varieties and dry hopping techniques make this beer one of our favorites. The citrus hop character balanced with a malty backbone creates a delicious, accessible pale ale that is sure to satisfy with every sip. Enjoy this pale with just about any pairing of your choice.

16oz can. Poured a hazy orange color, medium-large off-white head. Aroma was citrus notes, light caramel malt notes. Flavor was sweet, light hops. Bitterness from the hops. Pretty drinkable.

Serving: 16 oz. can from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy dark orange with a small off white head. The nose has bright notes of citrus and pineapple, brown sugar, and brown bread. The flavor has even balance between the malt and hops. The hops are much more subdued on the tongue than in the nose. There is some earthy bitterness with a touch of citrus. More nuttiness and almost chocolate notes peek through. Light to medium body with a medium finish. Solid flagship brew.

Pours a golden orange cooper hazy color with a small head. Nose is hoppy with a touch of caramel and malt. Taste is more caramel and malt with mild citrus. Nothing very complex, an average APA, missing the up front citrus. Finish is mildly bitter without any real lingering . Quaff Score 6 / 10

On tap in Chicago (Sweetwater). This was my second beer so maybe some carryover effects, but not my ideal brew.

Subtle orange scent with a blend of malts and hops that make for a nice pale ale. Dry finish on the tongue. Easy drinking pale ale.

Amber body, thin light tan head. Nose is pine, orange, some medium caramel, honey. Flavor is pine, orange, solid bitterness, honey, nice toffee malt. Bitterness is slightly astringent but not overly so. Lingering bitterness in the finish with a bit too much sweetness fir my tastes. Still, a nice beer.

Can pour copper yellow. Nose of floral and grassy dank hops. Taste initial dank hop and earthy, followed by strong bitterness. Some mineral overtones.

Can. This pours a copper color with a thin off-white head. The aroma is uneventful; toasted grain, caramel, and a dash of citrus. Pretty tasty, though. There’s a sturdy toasted malt backbone underneath citrus peel and a touch of resin. It finishes fairly dry with mild to moderate bitterness. This probably won’t win any awards but it’s easy drinking and pretty solid.

Can into nonic pint. Pours hazy gold. No real head, moderate lacing. Light citrus aroma but not much else. Taste is pine and orange ring. Slightly sweet malty backbone, nice bitterness, but the orange rind is really overwhelming in this one. Definitely stands out from the crowd, but not necessarily in a good way.
