Pours a deep and hazy amber with a thin layer of tan head. Aromas is strong with some sweet and sticky floral notes as well as some piney resin. This beer has a very strong flavor, it almost tastes like bitter molasses with a tinge of alcohol which lends to a fantastic aroma but to somewhat of an overbearing flavor. The flavor profile tends to change a bit from sip to sip, but most of what I get is a sweet and somewhat rounded tart flavor. Pretty good.

can @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Cloudy brown with a one-finger tan head, bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt that adds the unique flavor of rye in the palate, turning more bitter on the swallow. A full-bodied American version of an ESB. Recommended.

Draft pour. Pours a clear amber with a white head of foam. Good retention. The aroma has dry, woodsy, earthy notes. Reminds me of whiskey, actually. Fairly sweet beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Interesting name. I wonder what the reason for it is. Nice pour, a rich amber body with a sustained ecru head. Lots of thick lace. The aroma is caramel laden, spiced up a bit by some floral and peach notes. The flavor follows suit accompanied by a peach pit bitterness that lingers for quite some time. It’s not as sweet as the mention of caramel implies, and the sturdy ABV never shows itself in the flavor, just in the aftereffects. Not a bad brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of bread and grains with a bit of hoppiness underlying. Flavor has lots of bread and grain with some pine hops coming through in the finish.

Can shared. Pours dark amber with minimal head. Smell of sweet caramel and piney hops. Taste of same with a little smokey taste. Decent beer.
