COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Finch’s Blonde Ale is an easy drinking and approachable American craft beer. It has a moderately sweet malty aroma and is deep gold in color. We like to think of this particular one as more of a ’Dirty Blonde.’ When you first pour it, a soft lacey foam clings to the glass as malty aromas fill your nose and linger to the final sip. Upon finish, this blonde turns heads with a smooth finish and a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Enjoy this medium-bodied craft beer anytime of year.

Pours straw gold. A little cloudy with small white head. Smells bright and clean with a little hint of yeast and hop spice. Very biscuity with a slightly tart dry finish. Also light chewy mouthfeel. Very refreshing session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 9-18-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a golden color with a small pure white foamy head. The head fades superfast leaving only a very light level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is quite light overall. While light, there are notes of a bit of a bready malt as well as some wheat. Rounding out the smell is just a little bit of a grass and some pine hop. Taste – The taste begins with a biscuit and bready flavor with just the lightest hint of sweetness. The biscuit and bready remain throughout the taste, but the sweet flavors are almost lost completely in the middle of the taste. The loss of the sweetness is accompanied by the arrival of some cracker malt flavors as well as a rather decent showing of some hop. The hop initially is of a lemon citrus taste, but is joined by some pine and earth. With just a hint of sweetness coming back to the tongue at the end, all in all, one is left with a still rather dry and lightly malted taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The medium body and carbonation are both very appropriate for the style and make for an easy drinker. Overall – This is a rather easy brew to sit back and drink. While nothing exceptional, it is on the slightly drier and actually more hoppy side for a blond making for a rather enjoyable brew to sip on a warmer day.

Pint can. Nose barely there, pours clear golden leaning to orange with a large, dense, super rocky white head that floats oil on its head. Taste surprisingly resinous with light-medium bitterness, very oily and somewhat soft light body, foamy with grass and pils malt, cracker and a touch of spice, dry and mostly clean, but a lot of onion presumably from the sagging hops. Malt is too weak for me even in such a delicate style, the alcohol comes out a bit, and the strong onion is sure to turn off a lot of folks. But it does have personality!

Can. Poured a golden color with a white head. Toasted grain and floral. Thinner - had this on a hot day after the beach otherwise, I probably would not have finished it.

Crisp golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of metal, rice, lemon zest, alcohol and a hint of nice crisp hops. Light-bodied; Crisp and slightly sharp metallic and citrus flavours with a nice light grain and zest flavour finishing with a herbal note. Aftertaste has a mild citrus flavour, followed by herbs and grass, but all very smooth and still flavourful. Overall, a good beer to try for sure and a nice option for the style! I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Whole Foods in Tyson’s Corner (Falls Church), Virginia on 10-June-2014 sampled on the train to New York on 17-July-2014!

Dirty blonde colored pour. Small white head. Plenty of lacing. Slight burnt sugar aroma mixed with fruit, malt and earth. Grainy flavor up front. Bitter in the middle and a bit sweet on the back.

Rated on 5-30-2012. This canned beer pours a medium sized white head, hazy pale yellow body, fizzy carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, pine, citrus hops, sweet, and fruity. The flavor is lightly bitter, sweet, floral, grassy hops, fruity, and malt. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer and is not very hoppy tasting.

Nice golden beer. Tastes like an American blonde should taste, nothing special but nothing poorly executed. Straw dry finish with a touch of malt and bitterness, and sturdy carbonation.

Rated fr0m cans b0ught at the l0cal supermarket: G0lden-yell0w b0died, clear and bubbly, this had a m0dest sh0rt-lived head that did s0me nice lacing regardless. The n0se had light pale malt, a t0uch grainy, with s0me citrus n0tes. The flav0r was mainly citrus rind/zest with a quiet underlying malt sweetness. It had a nice dry and slightly bitter finish. This w0uld be a g00d lawnm0wer beer if it c0st less.
