A deep red malt-forward ale brewed with plenty of caramel malts and a touch of rye. Brewed and dry-hopped with Palisade and Zythos hops and aged for over six months in Koval barrels, a local Chicago distillery.

Nice reddish brown pour, beige head fades rapidly, nice lacing. Boozy aroma, caramel and wood. Taste is fairly sweet, fig, caramel and maybe some burnt sugar. Medium body, terrific creamy texture, not a lot of lingering carbonation. Taste stays with you. I suspect this is Fascist Pig aged in whisky barrels, and that makes a really good beer even better. I will look forward to this again!

Sampled at ABR 2014. Awesome beer. Deep orange pour with a foamy head. Crazy caramel, wood, rye, and whiskey elements in this. Sooo good.

Scent of malt and some barrel age whiskey. Poured dark with a slight foam. The taste was malt, whiskey but a lighter taste vs the a heavier feel. The palate was clean, and overall a very nice beer.
