This beer is really good. Pours like a Russian Imperial Stout! Tastes nice and hoppy with a good malty backbone. And it was on sale for $4 for four 16-ounce cans!

16oz can. Chunky thick black body. Big, steady tan-beige head. Roasty, oily aroma. Big in some respects, but kind of a hollow center, almost like a nitro. Thick, sticky specialty malt tones. The wheat gives it a little depth, Big and rich, approaching Double Black IPA. Solid offering, enjoyable.

Growler from Daily Growler, UA. Blackish pour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of cocoa, roasty, floral. Tastes are caramel, evergreen, coffee, oatmeal, cocoa, citrus, pine. bipa’s aren’t my favorite, but this does seem a good one.

22 oz bottle from TW. Pours a dark brown with light passing on the rim. Beige head fades to an even wisp with moderate lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and hop bitterness with slight anise note. Flavor is smooth and oily - hops, roasted malt and creamy mouthfeel with a lactic tang in the finish. Solid and worth seeking out.

Bottle shared by RussianDragon. Thanks man. The beer is opaque and deep, dark brown with a thick, beige head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, pine. Hop forward with warming alcohol and resinous pine. Medium bodied with lingering roast. Dark chocolate and a touch of licorice. Solid.

Black pour from 22 oz bottle. Off white head. Walnut and black licorice aroma. Cocoa coffee raisin and nutty. Complex. Pretty good. Leaves a bitter and dry taste on the pallett

[Oh, hey, my 4900th rating!] Pint can. Nose of dark chocolate and roast, heavy coffee, touches of wheat and citrus. Some anise? Very Bellsy at this point. Pours very dark brown with a dense and creamy rocky light brown head. Soft light body somewhat watery but really soft and smooth (quite sultry!) with heavy roast and dark chocolate, scorched and burned notes but no ash, some pine and lots of nice coffee coming from the side. Floats without stinging, the prime contribution of the wheat, there’s light spice and somewhat more ripe fruit. Touch acidic but not acrid, with mocha and cocoa. Bitterness medium and cleansing, overall pretty darn dry and drinkable, some caramel but more earth, very light leak of alcohol. Wonderful.

Black with large light brown head. Malts and pine. Sweet malt with molasses and malted barley. Salty slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

Can - nearly black pour - thick, soapy, tan lace - nose of woody and citric hops, pretty resinous, with a healthy dose of malt roastiness, som chocolate, toasted cocoa beans - the hop character is also a little sweaty and cheesy at times - oily, slick mouthfeel - low carbonation - taste is bittersweet chocolate, burnt peanut husks, heavily sweetened coffee - hops arrive late - bitter, woody, fairly acidic, leading into a moderately alcoholic finish - messy.
