3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 ounce can - $2.09 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a hazed, golden-amber body in hue with a tall, thickish, off-white head that collapses leaving gooey remnants along the glass walls.
Smell: Threadless smells of honey-brushed, lightly toasty grains, loaf bread with packed, blended hop notes ranging from florals, to grasses, to citrus fruits, to moist pine needles.
Taste: Moderately sweet honeyish tone amidst the toasted barley grains and bread. Then, some orange oil, grapefruit, resinous tones, plus some firm leafiness. Medium-high bitterness. All those hop flavors linger while the maltiness and sweetness quickly drops away leaving a chewy albeit bitter and dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. A bit chewy and creamy, actually.
Overall: Fairly decent India Pale Ale.

Great IPA to have with dinner, mellow enough to allow me to taste the food but still get a good kick of hops

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
from a big 16 oz can. red and black label. Lots of perfume from a overwhelming foaming pour, almost got it all over the floor, ran to the sink, heheh. Head goes 4 inches rocky crag. Foam mustache fer sure. The smell makes my mouth water. Oh my, first taste is double ipa bitter nagging blast, wew, I think the first swig made me a little dizzy, kick me in the jaw. Wow, thiss stuff looks good as you pour it into the glass, lots of rolling carbonation. Yez, each swig knocks my head back, wew. Difficult is a nice word for this terribly on style kicking ass brew. One of the most offensive beers I’ve had in a long time so if you like IPA, you gotta try this batch. Large freshly tarred and chipped tongue I have now. You should see the foam on this, looks like foam that blows off the see in a windstorm. Weird overall beer experience. Hey there are these things floating around in the glass, chunks of stuff.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Capones. Pours out a moderately hazy orange color with a small off white head. Aroma is of light citrus, dusty hay, light pine and some biscuity malt notes; body is a bit thin. Taste is of some white grapefruit bitterness, light pine, bready/toasty malts, and another punch of white grapfruit hop bitterness in the finish.

Sampled at GABF 2012. Wished I could have grabbed a six pack of this IPA. Bright and light and nice medium bitterness. Nice orange color in my sample.

Pint on tap. Orange-golden with a lasting ring of bubbles. Nose of florals, citrus, caramel and resin. Tastes of caramel, grapefruit, resin and a long finish of wooden bitterness. Light-medium body is watery and sessionable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pint size can served in a FFF pint glass. Purchased at a local Binny’s. Canned within a week or two.
A: Pours a clear amber color with a finger of pure white head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to thick ring. Some soapy lace is left behind.
S: Mostly bitter pine with some light grassy notes a slightly sweet malty body.
T: Very bitter hops up front. It does mix with the sweetness of the malts for the beginning, but the malt body fades quickly and you’re left with raw hop bitterness, some grass and light pine needle flavor.
M: Medium bodied with lower than average carbonation. It not the best going down, but it does have a lightness on the finish. The hops just really attack palate.
O: This was pretty run of the mill, the body of the beer being slightly imbalanced and dominated by more of a bitter and pine hop presence in a raw form. I would definitely pass over this for other beers and if I need I cans I’ve got Daisy Cutter at my disposal for $2 less for a four pack.

16 oz can. Pours a massive head with a little bit of gunky orange liquid underneath. Lots of chunky things are swimming around in there. Aromas are mostly citrusy. Oranges and grainy caramel. Flavor is sharply bitter with more of a lemon peel hoppiness to it. There is a creamy mouthfeel that seems a little odd.
