COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Murky copper, huge beige head. Lots of grapefruit and caramel in the aroma. Very hop forward flavor. More grapefruit, and a woody note or two. Some caramel, as well..

16 oz can - Nice floral hops aroma. A bit too grainy on the tongue for me. It seems a little malt-heavy. OK beer. I was recommended this one by a Chicago beer-lover, so I was expecting to like it a bit more than I did.

Can poured into a pint..nice color..aroma is a bit lacking..pleasant bitter finish with a small hop presence..good..comes across as quite fresh which is a plus and has a solid mouthfeel..almost creamy finish..a decent single ipa..Not getting much of the citrus from the profile

Can. Pours a yellowish orange color with a soapy, slightly off white head. Aroma is sweet, pineapple, banana, and floral hops. Flavor is fruity and floral, more floral and sweet than bitter. Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Overall a good beer.

Pours golden/lt amber with a medium white head. Aroma has some mango and caramely sweetness. Flavor follows suit...too malty for my taste in IPAs. Mouthfeel is medium/full with an earthy caramel/bitter finish.

On tap at the annual CBS picnic, and self served to clear plastic with a hazed, orange/amber hue, a thick amount of creamy head foam, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was light grain, citrus as grapefruit and some orange, light sweetness, and a touch of resin. The flavor presented an earthy, pungent, and very lingering hop bitterness, but enough malt to smooth the edge a bit. Well carbonated, and medium bodied, it paired well with the spicy picnic faire, and was my IPA choice of the day.

16oz can in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and some caramel malts. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A standard IPA.
