COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Pours deep amber with big hints of citrus. The citrus turns to spice with a sweet malt lingered finish.

Canned. Dark orange with a very large, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and nectarine flesh, light spruce, orange zest and light black pepper. Mildly bitter flavor at first; bitterness increases slightly through the finish. Notes of raw straw and dried grasses pop in and out. Aftertaste has mild flavors of bready sourdough and black tea. Caramel malts become more pronounced as it warms and breathes a bit. A solid offering. Thanks to Narnad for the can.

Can. Pours an orange hued amber with a soapy off-white head tha tleaves rings of whisply lacing down the glass and settles in to sporadic clumps. Quite citrusy aroma with some sweet sugary floral notes. Somewhat light bodied with a significant dry bitterness. Not bad and the lingering bitterness is pleasant but lacks a little punch of flavor that would put it over the edge.

Literally a pineapple bomb. Not super tropical but the pineapple flavor is there big time. It is juicy with a medium bitterness. It is good.

16 oz can. Pours clear golden with a white head. Spicy hop aroma, grapefruit. Flavors of spicy, grapefruit, pine hops as well, and some slightly stale biscuit. It’s just okay.

6/5/12- Pours a bright copper with an off white 2f head. Strong aromas of resin, floral, pine hops and a light malt sweetness. Upfront it's middling and well carbonated, before revealing harsh bitter and slightly metallic notes of resinous hops mingling with some caramel malts. Lingers a long time with some soapiness that just won't go away. Starts off well with the aroma, but it's a mixed bag after that. Needs more balance, but it's decent overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(16oz can, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, and grass. Flavor of grass, earth, pine, and citrus, with a bitter finish.

16oz can from Three Cellars. Pours a yellow-orange with some off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma is a muddled combination of citrus and caramel with some spiciness and floral hops. Taste has very bitter grapefruit rind, lemon, some resin and then carries through with some sweet caramel maltiness back. The distinctness of the very bitter "scrape off your teeth and palate" and then the caramel and sweet also, does not seem to blend well. Finishes very bitter, yet with sweet hints, and lasts a long bitter time. Perhaps this needs to age to mellow the sharpness of the bitter hops - not something I would have ever recommended in an IPA ...

Hmmm... Last time someone said "This is the last IPA you ever drink" I spent two weeks in the poison ward and she took off with the car and the cash... Oh well... Pour from a 1 pt can. Cloudy amber brew with dense tan head. Aroma of citrus, herbal, and floral hops. Taste is sweeter malts at the start fading to a hebal / floral hops finish. A little sour spoilage in the very finish that is off putting. A very nice IPA.

Bizarre. Somewhat resinous...some grain and florals...yet very harsh and soapy. Aftertaste is overkill and harsh. Lacks major balance
