COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Hazy amber color. Big off white head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma of hops and malt. Some citrus. Citrusy (orange) flavor with malt in the back. Nice.

This really nice IPA poured a cloudy copper color with virtually no head. The nose was well-balanced and inviting, with notes of sweet malt, grassy hops, lemon, grapefruit and a slight touch of wheat. The body was very smooth and drinkable and featured plenty of hops. The flavors are balanced very nicely with some caramel malt and wheat. Besides the floral and grassy hops, I tasted some lemon, grapefruit and pine. The beer finished dry, mellow and creamy.

New to the state of Maine. Can pours a rich orange copper color with a two plus finger of sticky off white foam. Bright hop aromas of pineapple, light toasted malt and a touch of citrus. The palate follows the nose nicely with a nice creamy round mouthfeel. Soft fruit on the front to mid palate with touches of stonefruit and a grassy bitter finish...

Draft - pours hazy orange with offwhite head and great lacing. Nose is citrus. Flavor adds grapefruit, lemon peel, caramel and general citrus. Bitterific and sweet enough to keep it in check. Medium body. Dryish finish.

jstraw (1906) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2011
Draft at Jerry’s. Orange-gold with decent, creamy, white head / Bright nose of orange, spun sugar, cut pine, and resin / Medium body, a touch watery, but otherwise good balance and finish / Flavors of orange, spun sugar, cut pine, and resin (the rare beer that tastes exactly like it smells) / A little more kick to the body, especially more hops, and this will be something.

On tap at East Nashville Beer Festival 2014. Dark red pour with nice head. More bitter than fresh or citrusy. Not my style of IPA.
