COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Pours a darkish amber color with a small head. Big hoppy citrus nose with some caramel malt. Also getting some pine. Taste has a solid bitterness and a nice taste. Lots of orange citrus. Nice lasting finish that is refreshing. A really good ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 9/8/13 from a 16oz can. Pours cloudy burnt orange with a thick, fluffy white head that slowly recedes to thick, rocky lace. The nose is a balanced combination of floral citrus hops and some bread malt. The flavor is the same with the bread coming through a bit more toasted and the hops nicely bitter. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long toasted bread and bitter floral and citrus peel finish.

Brewhaha. Cloudy amber color. Very nice aroma, fruity. Lean mouthfeel, with good malt and toffee flavor; the hopping is bold but well blended, providing resins in the front, and some fruity presence. Just avg!

At Gene’s rooftop. Dark amber for an IPA. Big fruity hops and quite bitter. The bitterness settles strangely in the palate though and while it wasn’t bad I just wasn’t a big fan of this. Serving: Tap

Pours cloudy orange into the glass, with a nice eggshell head that reduces to thick ring lacing. The nose is of musty orange citrus. Flavors are well-bittered from beginning to end, with orange and lemon upfront, and a decent grain bill hitting mid-palate. The close is nice and of lingering peppery bitters. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a juicy palate and medium-soft carbonation. Drinkability and complexity meet in the middle, with a substantive nature that goes down very nicely. Well-bittered for the hop head, this is a nice IPA!

Canned. Dark orange with a very large, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and nectarine flesh, light spruce, orange zest and light black pepper. Mildly bitter flavor at first; bitterness increases slightly through the finish. Notes of raw straw and dried grasses pop in and out. Aftertaste has mild flavors of bready sourdough and black tea. Caramel malts become more pronounced as it warms and breathes a bit. A solid offering. Thanks to Narnad for the can.

Can. Pours hazy orange with very little head. Flavor and aroma are nice hops. Bitter and citrusy. Good IPA

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2013 Bronze colored with a moderate fluffy head. The aroma is bright and hoppy; grapefruit, pine, floral notes, as well as a little caramel malt. The body is slick with some sweet malt; sharp bitter fruity, grassy, and resinous hops counter that nicely. Quite dry in the finish with lots of lingering hop bitterness. This is a very good IPA.

Can 500ml. Pours sligthly hazy golden with low white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, fruits, malt, pine. Taste is of pine, resin, malt, fruits, flowers, bitterness. Some tropical stuff. Harsh bitterness. Palate: ligth-medium body. Overall: Good IPA. Not outstanding, but fair.

Draft. Pours a hazy amber with medium off white head. Nose is citrus, orange, grapefruit and some light pale malts. Flavor is light citrus of more orange and grapefruit, and light maltiness. Good carbonation and medium body. Good standard IPA. No complaints.
